Barcelona Views from Above


There is no denying that Barcelona is a beautiful city to get a vacation rentalin Spain. Full of stunning architecture, vibrant colour and plenty of green spaces, it can be sometimes difficult to take it all in from street level. It is sometimes better to step back and take a look at the city from above, and there are a number of viewpoints that will provide some spectacular views of the city and beyond.


Bunkers del Carmel

Over the years, Bunkers del Carmel has become a popular hangout for friends and loved ones to relax and watch the sunset. It is location of where the military stationed anti-aircraft artillery during the Spanish Civil War, and once you reach the viewpoint, it becomes clear why this lofty location was chosen. Not only can you get views over the whole city, there is also often a great atmosphere.

Tibidabo

Located at the back of the city, Tibidabo is one of the many mountains that traps the city between it and sea. This is one of the best-known viewpoints of the city, and is easily identified by the picturesque church perked on its peak. It is easy to make your way up the mountain using public transport from your vacationrental in Barcelona, and if you want to get even higher, you can ride the roller coaster in the theme park.

Barcelo Hotel Rooftop Bar

This hotel is found on Rambla de Raval, and boasts a spectacular 360-degree rooftop bar. The seats of the bar surround the rooftop so you can get great views no matter where you sit. Drinks can be a little on the expensive side, but it’s well worth it for the atmosphere of an evening.

Montjuic

This is a large hill on the edge of the city, made famous for being the home of the 1992 Olympics. There are many viewpoints to be found on this hill, be it from the castle on the peak, the palace near the base or the Olympic park itself, it may even be possibly to see your family villa in Barcelona!
